I've heard mixed reviews about this firearm and was wondering if anyone had any input on the quality control on these firearms. Is there ANYTHING that shows poor quality control on current production models (2018 and newer)? I have heard the sights are not the best quality?

Luke, Mossberg has not really improved quality control on this lever rifle. Reviews on youtube as recent as this year are still abound with issues. The Sights are very rudimentary and basic but, are adequate.

I would stay with the leaders in lever actions 1st Henry 2nd  Winchester and 3rd marlin. the Mossberg  is just not up to the standard of the others

Luke, If your a Mossberg guy and have had great experiences it is your call. But many better lever action options in the .30-30 caliber out there to choose from. Everything you have heard is true.
