How does the Pointer KPS1012F28 Sporting O/U 12 Ga 28" 3" compare with the Pointer PAR1228 Arista? Are both equal? If not, which is better? Just looking for a good quality gun for less than $500. Also, please confirm that both extractors. Thanks!

they are the same basic gun I think the sporting has better checkering and wood (that's just a opinion) pick which ever you like the looks of the most and be happy. They are very good guns at their price point. they are great for the occasional shooter and hunter. If you get serious about the clay target games they will not hold up to the volume of shooting (I shot 18,000 targets in a year while on the USN Skeet team)

Richard, these are effectively the same core shotguns. There are subtle differences in the wood grain patterns and finish which are cosmetic only. The slight difference in price is due to number of each in stock as Buds prices are tied to stock level.
