Preston, this will work just fine as a deer getter. Just be sure and abide by local hunt capacity and it will do just fine. Match your load to your game and distance and you will bring home the venison.

I will do a good job of short range deer hunting using Buckshot or foster type rifled slugs. effective range with Buck shot is around 50 yards and the foster slugs will be good to around 75-85 yards please check your local game laws as some states restrict capacity of rounds the gun can hold for hunting
