Derrick, Remington 870 Police has 16 versions. This version receiver marked "Remington 870 POLICE MAGNUM" started in 1991. Blue Book says 870 Police (NON MAGNUM) ran from 1994 to 2006. Specific Department marking may be on the shotgun. BUDs might know. Call Customer Service at 859-368-0371
