You can use a different BCG, Ruger did not make any proprietary parts on this model. The only real issues I could foresee would be headspacing as with any bolt and barrel combination, you could get a set of go/no-go gauges to test it but you will most likely have no problems at all.

Hector, yes Sir. A Nickel Boron Mil-Spec Full Auto BCG would drop right in with no worries.
