Mitchell, I own all 4. Can't beat S&W, but they have change some features since I got mine. The Ruger and Core 15 have some good features, good warranties, all American made. Core 15 has up graded furniture on many models. Ruger goes on sale much more often. If you can wait to get a Ruger for under $500 great. If this is your first sporting rifle I would go Ruger.
