Joe, it should function fine. By force of habit I function check and mark my magazines as there are the occasional lemon in magazines as well. Out of spec follower, spring, not assembled correctly or magazine wall being dent is not too far fetched.

Joe, I own multiple Springfield weapons and have yet to have a factory defect with any of them. Some, like many weapons, will shoot one load more accurately than another, even in the same model, but even that tends to even out after the break-in period.

Joe, If your concern is magazines stick with factory magazines for each firearm you have. Your SA should be a pleasure to own.
