Hi Ben, this is a new,this year platform from Savage. It is solid and robust though. Savage did it's checks and balances on this one. Mine will be ordered soon. I think you will find this will serve you well. All reviews say "Quality from the Gate".

There are cheaper ones that will build the same. But this one is nice to use now, so if it takes you awhile to get to the project, you still have a nice ready AR as it is.
