Austin, No problem the high quality Glock polymer frame makes the G41 a very comfortable firearm to shoot. A heavy steel 1911 absorbs a lot of recoil. I think you would find the recoil on G41 much more manageable then most 1911s. For target shooting look at a G34 or G35 if your not locked into 45 ACP.
