Michael, yes Sir. This particular 5.56 NATO rifle features a semi-automatic direct gas impingement system. Additionally this DI gun features a mid-length gas system with an adjustable dictator gas block allowing you to control the flow of gas back to your BCG for nominal operation in adverse conditions or when shooting suppressed.
