David, It actually does Sir. The only reason I switched to the Taurus G2C was it could use Sig P226 18 and 20rd Magazines for home defense.

David, Any firearm that is dependable and you and your family can comfortably use is fine for home defense. Only downside for me on this handgun is no accessory rail to mount a light. I like to have lights on stuff I'm using in the dark.
