Rocky, CA approved just means Sig has submitted this model for testing and it was approved by CA to be added to their CA DOJ Roster. CA usually require LCI (Loaded Chamber Indicators) and or Magazine Disconnect Safeties. The Pistol will still accept standard capacity magazines same as the non CA approved version.

It CA DOJ approved because sig submitted it for testing and paid the Blackmail fees to the state of CA to be allowed to sell this model in CA. They also had to replace the standard Mags with modified magazines that will only hold 10 rounds (standard mags will fit and work just fine)
