yes you can but you will need to clean the chamber after shooting to prevent a carbon ring from building up (just like shooting 38 special in a 357)

Jeremiah, yes Sir. You can use 22LR, 22L & 22Short without issue. Shorter cartridges tend to build up a carbon ring so clean the cylinder when switching to longer 22Long and Long Rifle ammunition.
