I'm new to AR's what is the difference between this and the other ruger 556's they are selling for $600 to $700 dollars? Is it just cosmetics(stock, handguard, etc.)? Or is one functionally better?

Paul, the $700 model will have upgraded features like Stock, hand guard and better triggers. They will be slightly more accurate in most cases as well due to better barrels.

Paul, Just cosmetic. No difference in components. They are no more accurate then model with A2/A1 furniture.
