It is OK in Illinois as a state. Although GSG rimfire pistols are prohibited in Illinois this is advertised as a rifle and is there fore not restricted by the state of Illinois. It would be prohibited as an assault weapon in all of Cook County, prohibited in Highland Park in Lake County, and prohibited in Aurora. Check your zip code against the list of affected zip codes at budsgunshop.com/catalog/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf Be aware that some locations in Lake County share a zip code (60010) that is listed as prohibited in Cook County. Give Bud's a call if that affects you and see what type of proof is needed that you don't live in Cook county even though you live in a restricted zip code.
