David, CCI is the long standing 22LR of choice (although I would try a box of several brands to check for reliability and accuracy) : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/91976/cci+956+22+long+rifle+copper-plated+round+nose+40+gr+300box%2f ------------- https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/63201/cci+22+long+rifle+mini+mag+hp+36+grain+hollow+point
the 40 grain Mini Mags are the most reliable 22LR ammo made. If a gun will not work with them the gun needs to be repaired https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/63200/cci+22+long+rifle+40+gr+mini+mag+round+nose+0030+100+round+box the 36 grain hollow point that James referenced work in most of my guns but the 40 grain round nose is the ONLY 22lr that works in ALL my 22lr handguns
David, The CCI mni-mags are great rounds, but my PA HP22s will shoot everything from 36gr to 40gr Federal Auto Match, Aquila, Armscor, Remington ThunderBolt, and anything else I've put trough them. Hollow point and lead ball. You can buy whatever you want. If your specific gun doesn't like something you'll find out.
