Marty, no Sir. The 22Magnum case is a larger diameter than 22LR/22Short. It is the reason 22Mag/22LR Combo revolvers have 2 cylinders, one for 22Mag and one for 22LR.

no it will not and would be dangerous to try the 22lr case would expand to much and cause a case rupture possibly venting hot gasses and debris into your eyes/face
