Has anyone else has trouble with self-defense ammo (hollow point) failure to feeds with the Iver Johnson 9mm Thrasher Model 1911?
300 rounds of ball ammo-not one failure to feed. All three, Hornady Critical Defense, Remington Golden Saber Black Belt, and Speer HST all failed to feed . Sometimes first round loading, sometimes 4th, or 7th etc. Original Meg Gar and stainless mag from Iver Johnson created the same problems. Any suggestions on solving the problem besides polishing the ramps?

William, if ball is feeding and hollow points are not, before polishing the feed ramp, I would contact Iver Johnson first for advice at 321-636-3377  Monday-Friday 1030 - 1600 EST. You have already tried a different magazine and hollow point ammunition and polishing the feed ramp would be my response other than a magazine with a different follower that tilts the bullet slightly higher.
