Richard, The Ruger Precision Rimfire is a solid and highly accurate rifle as are most .17HMR Caliber due to the inherent accuracy of the round. The suppressed issue would be the super sonic crack unless subsonic .17HMR ammunition can be found. Suppressed .17HMR muzzle report demo here ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-Mde6gOrXo
The gun itself feels like quality and is enjoyable to shoot, I have one in 22LR and my only real purpose for it is plinking around at the range. Suppressed will be noticeably quieter than unsuppressed but will still be loud as .17HMR is a flat-trajectory high velocity round that should always be supersonic by default.
