I am assuming you're talking about largemouth bass and regular trout like rainbow trout. The description of the lure doesn't specify the size of the hook. Normally, I use larger hooks for bass because they have such big mouths. I will say it will work for bass. I have used similar looking lures to catch bass. You want to use different techniques. Having it bounce up and down from the bottom is a good trick. You just gotta figure out what they want. I don't know about trout. For trout I recommend Berkeley Mice Tails. Those work so well. I also recommend a Rapala Countdown no larger than size 7.
