Matthew, all new 686 + .357 L frames are produced with a round butt. They make grips that will fill in and make the round butt grip into a square butt feel.

Hi Matthew, from my research I have found that all new 686 + .357 L frames are produced with a round butt. You can go to Hogue's website and purchase a conversion in order to make the round butt grip into a square butt feel if that's what you prefer.
