Should just require a new buffer tube. Pistol buffer tubes are circular and have no extension on the bottom to lock a telescoping stock into place.

Matthew, easy as pie you would just need the stock/buffer tube. I would lean toward a Mil-Speck tube and stock for the build. 10 minutes sounds about right if you are familiar with the AR platform and a bit more if not.
