Since you said "in to" I am assuming you're referring to their guide rod laser model and not one of the accessory rail mounted ones which wouldn't work on a Gen 1. If that is the case the install is pretty quick and easy, all that is involved is removing the slide lock, its associated spring, and the old guide rod, and then replacing all 3 parts with the new ones.
