is this a V frame pistol, or is it just called a "V"? I can not seem to find any holsters in leather that are for a V frame

The "V" is actually supposed to be a Roman numeral 5 referring to the 5" barrel. The gun is an X-Frame and should fit in holsters intended for 5" or larger X-Frame guns.
