Carbon steel or stainless steel barrel? I asked this question previously but confused it with barrel finish when I asked about blued or stainless. I believe the correct answer will be surface treated carbon steel but I see another Venture that is stainless and that is why I ask.

Mike, I believe this barrel to be surface treated 4150 Carbon Steel. I would still confirm this with Thompson Center at (866) 730-1614  Mon - Fri: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
