Bill, they are pretty much even in all respects as far as quality and function Sir. If I had to make a choice it would be the Rascal. I like the safety and the trigger. It just felt better when I was holding it . My 2 cents.

Bill, Basically same gun. Decide what company and what finish and features you want. Quality, fit and finish are not all that different. If you like the camo and synthetic stock this is a great little bolt action rim fire rifle. I would stick with the Savage Rascal myself if I had to choose which I have with my previous purchase.
