You know what, if you have this gun and you are using the factory magazine I think I know what you're talkin about. I live in California and I have a P226. To get the 10th round in the magazine it is difficult. I can only assume that you're having the same problem. But with my magazines I am able to fit 10 around it is just really tough to get in there. And once it's in there the firearm functions flawlessly. Unless I have the muscle memory down, it seems to work a bit smoother than when I first got it. I hope this helps. If anything, I'm sure you can contact Sig for a replacement. What I do now after I get home and clean my guns I leave those two magazines fully loaded. I think that might weaken the Springs just a little bit but I am no scientist.
Doug, yes Sir. First disassemble the magazine and make sure the spring is seated fully in the follower slot. If it is then just load the magazine and let is sit for a couple of days. Then retry the normal loading process and you will see/feel a big difference.
