For those who have this gun in FDE... what color is the barrel? The pictures on Springfield.com and here show a black barrel, but when I Googled "PI9229F" some had silver barrels. The black barrel is much nicer looking.

Dan, The barrel in this model will be black due to the Nitride finish. BARREL
4" Forged Stainless Steel w/Nitride Finish, Fully Supported Ramp. The silver barrel models do not have the Nitride treatment. This model does have the Nitride treated barrel.
