All these come from the factory, so if you're able to find one with a "straight" magazine then ok. But Buds will not alter any firearm. They are sold as is. Buds will not remove any portions of the firearm nor will they add any portions to the firearm. I'm not sure what you mean by thumbnail. When you say "straight" magazine I think you're talking about a stick magazine. Check out this website...1022 fun gun .com. No spaces...
no the only magazines that the ruger 10 22 will work with are the rotary magazines the can be had in 10, 15 or 25 round magazines
Joe, no Sir. The Ruger Model 10/22 is designed specifically for the Rotary Magazine. The Magazine well will not fit a straight magazine as shown on page 8 here : https://ruger-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/_manuals/1022.pdf
Joe, Great design ideas, but rotary magazine is only option. They have magazines that hold up to 50 rounds. Butler Creek is a good option.
You have the option to buy longer, curved, (25 plus) mags, however they all fit in the mag well the same way as the short ten round mags.
Just buy Ruger factory mags and you'll be fine. You can get 15 round mags and 25 round mags. Butler Creek makes some also, but Ruger's are more reliable.
