I just got my first shotgun two weeks ago but I haven't shot it. I've been watching a bunch of videos on slugs rifled slugs that is. My Shawty is Smooth Bore so would a rifled slugs at 1600 feet per second cause any damage to my Barrel?

Your smooth bore "shawty" will be just fine. Just make sure to clean your barrel and your chamber. I know you said you watch videos, but some videos give bad information they say you don't have to clean the shotgun... Yes you do!

Stewart, No these slugs will not damage your shotgun barrel. You can shoot whatever you want. If this is your first shotgun why spend $1.50 a round for slugs? Stewart, no Sir. Absolutely fine to fire Slugs in the smooth bore Shawty. Now, your wrist, may be a different story at 1600fps (which will actually be closer to 1375fps in the Shawty! Cheers

No issues shooting these slugs when I tried them they were not accurate out of my gun

No damage would be had on your gun. It is normal for the barrel to get hot. I recommend a nest shield if you don't have one already.
