Scott, This is not a stainless steel frame. The Smith & Wesson 638 .38 Special Revolver features an aluminum alloy frame and a shrouded hammer.

Well ...yes and no. This has an aluminum alloy frame with a stainless steel cylinder and stainless barrel. I own one... a great little carry gun.
