not really any more accurate. it will work better from a rest as the stock and forearm are shaped better for use with sand bags many people with good scopes are getting sub 1/2 inch groups with all the ruger American rimfire rifles (with ammo the gun likes) at 50 yards

Gary, with the heavy target barrel, you will have less barrel harmonics than the standard which will translate into better inherent accuracy. The shooter is a big part of the equation, as well as rifle and ammunition. Not so much if you are Bob Lee Swagger. Cheers!
