I prefer the sig as I find it a better value for a shooter. The gold cup will retain a better resale value if you want a safe queen. I have never had very good luck with the colts (including the gold cup) in 9mm
Rick, I personally would get the tried and true Colt Gold Cup. It will be highly accurate out the box and will retain more of it's value over time for you as a owner of as a pass down to your future generations or as a future collectible.
Rick, Both great guns. The Gold Cup does cost more for a reason. Better trigger. Frame to slide fit is tight on both but Gold Cup is smoother slide to frame. The Match Elite's barrel bushing is not as tight. Little wiggle in the barrel bushing fit. Grip safety is loose and wiggles on the Match Elite. Buy them both.
The SIG is a much better quality firearm right now. Colt's quality is not what it used to be.
