Larry, As durable as a 1/4" piece of steel can be. You can grab the rail and swing the barrel like a baseball bat and nothing will happen. Once this barrel is on the receiver it is very solid. If you slam barrel on ground off the receiver it will might bend if you hit rail end, but very durable.
