Scott, Appreciate your letter of the law attentiveness. The .125 hundredths of the inch would not be a issue with LE calling this 4" barrel. Sure it is rounded up. Just get a 6" barrel revolver to hunt with if the 3.875" is too short. The 627 Pro says 4" barrel I take it as 4" barrel.

its the 3.875 which is rounded up to the 4 inches. most game wardens would just look at it and not measure I would ask you local wildlife officer about this
