I understand that this comes with a modified choke for shot shells...manual states not to fire with slugs without a choke, as it will damage internal threads...what choke should I use for slugs? Thx

foster (rifled slugs) type slugs will be fine in the modified choke but they may be more accurate with a cylinder or IC choke but the only way to know is to try them with all 3 chokes
