Is this a Rim Fire pistol? It specifies that GSG Rim fire pistols are not compliant with Illinois gun laws. I am not sure if that means other GSG is ok or even if this is ok?

Michael, This firearm is not IL compliant. And yes all German Sport Guns GSG firearms are prohibited.

Michael, no Sir. Illinois has a Melting Point Law that excludes Alloy framed pistols from compliance.  Any handgun having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver that has a die casting of zinc alloy or any other non-homogenous metal, which will melt or deform at a temperature of 800 degrees F or lessProhibited: Cobra, PhoenixArms,Heritage Arms, Walther rimfire pistols, GSG rimfire pistols, Hi-Point pistolsand Jimenez Arms.
