Brayden, this model has a Tenifer coating on slide, barrel and inside action parts that resists corrosion. This is the standard finish and not Navy model specific finish.
Brayden, No that is why Walther has the Navy Model. This firearm has a Cyanide Bath or Nitride treatment on slide and barrel. Melonite is another word for Tenifer. They are the same process. The only difference in the "Tenifer" process and "Melonite" is the brand name. But the original German formulation for the "Tenifer" is a carbonitriding salt bath used 60% sodium cyanide and cyanate and 40% potassium cyanide and cyanate in a electrically charged salt bath.
