Jean, The Empire is built in Japan by Howa. The Empire uses the same basic action as the Howa 1500 . But the lockup on the magazines are different. This magazine will not lock in the Empire

Jean, no, it will not. Manufacturer is Howa Machinery Company Ltd. of Kihochi, Japan, manufacturer of the rifles themselves. Construction is two piece folded steel body, with smooth milled tig welded back side, 1 piece leaf type spring, and polymer cartridge follower. Finish is matte steel sides, polished surface blued steel floorplate with raise WS logo. Each magazine holds 5 rounds of .25-06 Remington, .270 Winchester, or .30-06 Springfield caliber ammunition. Each comes in its double factory protective bags, but no other factory packaging.
