No where does Ruger specifically mention "Free Floated" for this barrel. Ruger spec sheet is here : --- http://www.ruger.com/products/precisionRifle/specSheets/18004.html

I'm going with yes on this. The barrel is in a tubular hand guard that isn't touching the barrel.

The rifle's in-line recoil path from the rear receiver to the buttstock removes the need for barrel bedding, leaving highly accurate cold hammer-forged barrel to float freely. The barrel is forged from 4140 chrome-moly.
