I'm trying to figure out the difference between the Ruger American Pistol in .45 ACP. For all intents and purposes, the 8608, 8618 & 8680 seem to be identical. What's the difference? They all look alike, are the same size, made of the same materials, have manual safety's and are striker fired. I don't get it. Any answers?

Barrel length and magazine capacity are the differences. The 8608 has a 4.2 inch barrel and 17rd magazines, the 8618 has a 4.5 inch barrel and 10rd magazines and the 8680 has a 4.2 inch barrel and 10rd magazines.
