I watched Bud's Gunshop video on the Girsan MC312 HDT and LDT Tactical models... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYeam0g8FZY ... Just reading between the lines, it sounds like the HDT has been upgraded with an "XP" recoil spring like what can be bought for a Benelli. That being said, if I buy this and have cycling problems with light practice loads (for my wife), can I either purchase a standard Girsan MC312 recoil spring or will a standard Benelli recoil spring drop right in?

Jim, the standard Girsan Recoil Spring will work for sure. Benelli May or may not work depending on how close it may be to the Girsan specifications.
