A red dot. For the shotgun,I like vortex. The 22 rim fire scope nikon is what I like. On the other hand red dot on a 22 is blast just not as accurate.
Chester, at the ranges you specify a 2x Red Dot is a great compromise and would be just about perfect for both : https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/19099/truglo+red+dot+sight
for best accuracy a scope most red dots cove a large part of the target at longer distances the one James linked to will cover about 2.5 inches of the target ay 100 yards its a 2.5 moa red dot which will limit your accuracy potential
For the .22LR, I say use a scope, your only reach out to 30 yards(100') so I would just get a 3-9x40, 3-9 is the zoom and 40 is the MM size. Shot gun is all personal preference. I have a red dot on my benelli for comps but that's mainly clays and very short range metal targets. I will actually take it off it I'm reaching out with a slug for fun, but not often.
