I want the version that has the old style firing pin (on the hammer). I thought this (model MP 420) was that version and MP 522 had the safety bar mechanism. The previous question shown on this listing says this has the safety bar hammer. Is there a Cimarron (or Uberti) model like the original Colt SAA?

I want the version that has the old style firing pin (on the hammer).  I thought this (model MP 420) was that version and MP 522 had the safety bar mechanism.  The previous question shown on this listing says this has the safety bar hammer.  Is there a Cimarron (or Uberti) model like the original Colt SAA?

William, Buds Customer Service will need to verify which hammer pin the MP 522 has with their Inventory Dept. Cimarron says the MP 522 "This modern day reproduction from Cimarron is true to the original". I don't know why the model number would not identify which firing system each has, which is vital information in my opinion.
