Your serious the minimal one should have is 6 for the 9mm Taurus? Here I thought I was savvy with the 4 :-(. Okay back to drawing board. I have 4 they are all 12rds I was thinking since carry is rarely used at best, 1 of the mags would be enough but I see I was wrong. For the carry could I get away with a mag that holds 10 not 12 and save all 12's for range? If not then how many carry would I need to keep on hand and how many do I carry on me? Do I need to get 2 more for range to equal 6? Thanks

The real question is how well can you shoot? If one struggles to get shots on target, more magazines means more misses. How do you plan on carrying the magazines? If in a pocket, consider the weight and bulk of several loose magazines on you and the possibility of getting lint in the magazine, having the magazine drop out or being grabbed upside down and backwards. If you are planning on having magazine holsters, plan on the real estate they would take on your belt. I carry two (2), one (1) in the firearm, and one (1) in my pocket. Personally, I feel comfortable with 35 rounds, but that is just my opinion.
