Casey, this is because firearm must be re certified yearly for the CA DOJ Roster. Many, Many firearms drop off the CA DOJ Roster and many manufacturers do not re-certify as evidenced by CA De-Certified Handgun Models  :   https://www.oag.ca.gov/firearms/de-certified-handguns
