These being not plus p will suit your needs. For self defense these will work. The hallow point and a slightly heavier bucket of 124 grain instead of 115 will hit a bit harder while being a bit slower. Typically heavier size bullets have a bit more recoil because of the heavier projectile being fired out. There's not too much difference anyway between 115 and 124. I like Sig Sauer V Crown 9mm 115 grains.
