In my opinion if you're looking for a compact 45 you can't beat a Glock 30. Especially if you're looking for a carry pistol. I'm a Smith & Wesson fan myself but frankly the Glock 30 will out perform the shield any day not to mention Glock has a superior dependability over S&W that I would prefer for a carry pistol. It will cost a little more money but you can't beat the piece of mind that comes with knowing your gun will perform as it should every time.
