Maybe you are having a little moisture problem with where you store your rifle,or if you use it in damp cold weather make sure to clean it every time. I am pretty sure that BUDS has some products to help winterize your rifle.
Glenn, I would first see if a small shot of de-icer on the trigger group makes any difference in firing (sounds like the cold is gumming something up). If not I would ask Rossi USA if they have heard of this or have a resolution.
Glenn, It is condensation in firing pin channel freezing up. De-ice or totally dry everything off. Going from warm to cold will make the condensation that freezes up.
