Yo my brotha the Streamlight  tlr8 is compact and good for the 17. I like it kuz it's lightweight and bright light with a laser. You get not only a laser but a small bright light bro.

Oh! I know the perfect solution for you! The Lasermax guide rod laser. Talk about not too much bulk. It doesn't add any bulk. It replaces the factory guide rod. Someone said it already, but the Lasermax green laser is my favorite and I have it on my Glock 22, which is basically the same as the Glock 17. https://www.lasermax.com/lms-1141g.html I like it because I can still use my holsters.
